You as a Finance Analyst will:

  • Support the Area Accountant or Finance Manager by taking responsibility for the month-end close activities for Canadian and Ireland operations
  • Generate reports out of financial/accounting system and disseminate information in a timely manner to those who require it within EDFS (EllisDon Facilities Services).
  • Analyze periodic financial data to help in performing financial due diligence on the financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and yearly financial statements for sites as required.
  • Assist in performing variance analysis for profit & loss statements for each site on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain management reports for projects and overhead against budget and projections.
  • Monitor the aged receivables to ensure funds are being collected.
  • Participate in model audits used in bidding for new projects
  • Ensure compliance with internal/external audit requirements.
  • Provided support for audit related requests for the financial statements and any tax related audits.
  • Ensure MSP (Monthly Service Payment) billings are in accordance with service agreements for each site.
  • Ensure all additional billings are in agreement with the financial close and service agreements.
  • Assist in the financial system transition as needed from testing controls to setting-up new processes.
  • Review monthly (PMR) Performance Monitoring Reports for each of the sites and prepare sections of the monthly operational report to the management.
  • Ad-hoc projects for the Area Accountant
     

Is this the right role for you?

  • 4+ years of financial analysis or relevant experience
  • You have a strong financial accounting analysis experience
  • You have a strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have experience in forecasting and financial modelling using Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and experience building integrated financial models from scratch (in Excel or other planning tools)
  • Collaborate across a geographically dispersed finance team, mentor junior colleagues, and champion continuous improvement in processes and controls.
  • Proficient in all generic office software including advanced Word skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders across multiple locations/regions including Canada and Ireland
  • Ideally have experience with Facilities Management
  • Must be able to work in office in Cork, Ireland, Edmonton, AB or Mississauga, ON
  • The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is $70,-$90,000
