Salary:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $105,000 - $125,000 + 10% bonus target and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.
Summary
The Finance-Lead Systems Analyst provides business expertise in one or multiple business functions. In partnership with business owners, this role will focus on supporting and optimizing business units that have already gone live on Dynamics. This position will work with the Business Units to define change requests and optimization projects. Based on the business case, they will facilitate the prioritization process and manage the implementation accordingly. The Analyst will lead the design and implementation of these activities, leveraging industry best practice processes and system capabilities needed to optimize business results. This includes understanding existing business processes, defining requirements for continued optimization and future changes, evaluating gaps, and working with technical experts to find solutions. Depending on the project stage, this resource will also be involved in the new deployments.
Essential Functions
- Lead and facilitate the resolution of production support issues in the respective functional area
- Be responsive in dealing with production issues depending on severity and priority
- Perform root cause and trend analysis to resolve problems thoroughly
- Lead and facilitate the definition and implementation of optimum end-to-end processes for the business
- Provide functional expertise and guide solution design to ensure successful and planned business outcomes
- Conduct requirements, fit-gap, solution, etc. workshops, plus work with business function leads and/or representatives from other areas to ensure seamless integration with their processes
- Collaborates with other functional team members to develop standard/global processes where possible while ensuring regional and local needs
- Identify software gaps, evaluate and provide alternative solutions and recommendations, and work with business owners and team members to determine a satisfactory approach
- Lead and facilitate the delivery of project deliverables required to ensure an effectively functioning system (ERP, CRM, etc.)
- Lead development, review, and approval of requirements for the system (ERP, CRM, etc.), reporting, KPIs, and analytics
- Participates in the analysis and design of any necessary modification; works closely with development team members on the development, testing, and implementation of the required modifications
- Leads testing plans and scenarios development, test execution, and results tracking, ensuring all aspects of system functions are thoroughly tested through all phases
- Participates in the development and documentation of security requirements for all users
- Deployment testing
- Ensure business units are ready for systems migrations (ERP, CRM, etc.)
- Leads training requirements definition, authoring, and testing
- Works the Change Management process and functional team members to develop a comprehensive change management plan, including user documentation
- Work in collaboration with business owners and leaders to provide ongoing review and support of ERP, CRM, and key business system processes to ensure the business maintains and improves the use of the delivered business solution
- Conduct post-implementation audits
- Continue to identify optimization opportunities for processes and systems usage
- Support issue/incident resolution
- Provide support for assessment and requirements for business-requested changes
- Keep current with knowledge and expertise critical for success; attend training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to increase related knowledge and other applicable skills (e.g., documentation, test case development, change management, communication, or leadership)
- As the Lead works to develop junior staff by training and coaching on best practices and career paths
- Up to 40% Travel as projects or business requires
- Occasional weekend work as needed to support deployments or other issues
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
- System certifications in any of the following areas are required: D365 CE, D365 ERP Finance and Operations, etc.
- Technical certifications in the following areas are a plus: Microsoft Power Automate, PowerApps, etc.
- Training on IIBA BABOK a plus
- Project Management training from PMI or PMP certification is a plus
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) training and certification are a plus
Note: This is an office-based position, and individuals are expected to be in the office 5 days per week.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the information technology field, with at least 8 years experience supporting or implementing business systems, including ERP, CRM, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years experience supporting or implementing ERP systems, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
- Experience in a business role is a plus
- Experience in a global multi-site manufacturing company is a plus
- Experience with at least 5 entire life cycle ERP migration projects preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
- Expert level knowledge in multiple modules of an ERP system
Finance
- Deep knowledge of finance processes, including typical automation requirements and interactions across other business processes
- Knowledge and experience in system execution of business processes and best practices, such as financial closing, consolidation, reporting, auditing, compliance, and tax.
- General financial troubleshooting of G/L and corporate reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of various financial costing methods, including project accounting
- Strong understanding of the management and tracking of fixed assets
Manufacturing
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing configuration and execution in an ERP system
- Familiar with MRP, production scheduling, and production planning
- Ability to optimize ERP usage for various manufacturing styles and methods
- Familiar with Item and BOM configuration
Sales
- Deep knowledge of all aspects related to the entry and execution of a sales order in an ERP system
- Complete understanding of pricing methods available in ERP systems
- Ability to design and advise business associates on streamlining order intake and processing
- Familiar with inventory allocation steps and methods for sales order lines
- Experience with EDI and other order automation methods and sales channels
- Experience with inter-company order processing
Supply Chain
- Deep knowledge of D365 Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management modules, such as Production Control, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Master Planning, and Costing
- Manage integrations with dependent ISVs (CAD, PLM, PDM, or MDM)
Training
- Lead for designing and delivering corporate training content for various software systems throughout the enterprise
- Delivery of training content via multiple methods – live instruction both in-person and remote, composed materials, video, and other effective methods
- Participates in various stages of deployment projects to accurately gather training requirements
Procurement
- Deep knowledge of D365 for procurement and sourcing, inventory management, master planning, and vendor setup
- Experience with EDI and other integrations
- Experience with intercompany transactions
- Familiar with D365 pricing and costing features
Warehousing
- Deep knowledge of all warehouse transactions, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, transfers, and adjustments
- Experience with designing and implementing cycle count features
- Experience with Physical inventory counts
- Experience with shipping carrier integrations for all types of shipments (parcel, LTL, full load), including TMS systems integrations
