This is a unique position for a business or finance professional passionate about data, analytics, process improvement and automation. The successful candidate will combine financial knowledge with data and analytics capabilities and gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects that modernize reporting, improve process efficiency, and reduce manual work, while also executing core financial close activities.</div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div>Automation, Process Improvement & Data Analytics: • Partner with internal stakeholders to complete process mapping, understand requirements and translate into future-state workflows • Identify and implement AI / automation and other process improvements that reduce manual activities, improve efficiency, strengthen data quality, and enhance decision-making • Manage project timelines, track milestones, and coordinate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support execution • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis across multiple systems and data sources (e.g., BigQuery or enterprise data warehouses) • Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy) • Ensure all automation solutions are compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards • Contribute to the adoption of modern analytics tools and AI capabilities within Financial Close Controllers Financial Close Support: • Support the financial results close process to ensure accurate, complete and timely results through: • Partnership with various business unit stakeholders to understand the business • Review and critical analysis of financial results • Support of various internal and external reporting requirements • Preparation, review and/or approval of month end transactional processes • Support of control environment and audit requirements Tools & Technologies Exposure to some of the following tools would be an asset; the successful candidate will be expected to develop proficiency over time: • Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint • Reporting and analytics: Power BI, MicroStrategy • Automation and workflow: Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Alteryx • Data/querying: SQL, BigQuery or similar data </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Critical Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">1 - 3 years of relevant experience</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Exposure to finance concepts (e.g., P&L, balance sheet, KPIs)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with data tools, coding, or analytics projects</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Preferred Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Curious and eager to learn new tools and technologies</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Interested in automation, AI, and modern data practices in Finance</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong organizational and project coordination skills</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts simply</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to break down complex problems and identify key drivers</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and business teams</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proactive mindset with ability to take ownership of work</li> </ul></div></div></div> Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
