In this position...
- The North America (NA) MP&L Forward Model Finance Analyst position works within the MP&L Controller’s Office. This position is central to tracking, analyzing and reporting the freight & duty cost associated with NA new model programs and powertrain studies for both NA production and NA Imports.
- This role serves as the go-to expert for MP&L encompassing both cost per unit (CPU) for Vehicle Freight (Outbound), Material Freight (Inbound), External Warehouse, Duty/Custom, USMCA and Investment cost (Investment – material flow (MFE), Packaging and others investment (F&T) cost).
- Working collaboratively across operations, finance, MSAP and program teams, this position ensures accurate cost consolidation for all forward model studies, providing financial insight that directly informs program decision-making and business planning.
What you'll do...
- Manage the end-to-end process for tracking, consolidating, and reporting all NA MP&L costs related to forward model studies.
- Provide analytical schedules showing walks for Job Last, Job One, and Present status to explain which costs are changing and why
- Ensure accurate financial reporting of approved MP&L cost to the MSAP/ Program teams
- Prepare and submit forward model design & sourcing cost data to the MP&L finance team as part of the business plan cycle with ensuring alignment with the latest vehicle program assumptions
- Develop detail variance analysis, and Year-over-year explanations for forward model design & sourcing cost as part of the business plan cycle
- Lead NA Pre-MPR meeting focused on MP&L forward Model costs
- Develop and distribute meeting agenda to ensure productive discussion
- Prepare and run the Pre-MPR meeting, ensuring the study MP&L POV deck is comprehensive and ready for review
- Take meeting minutes and ensure follow-ups are known by the DRI
- Serve as a key financial liaison between the MP&L operating team, MP&L finance team and MSAP/ Program team
- Collaborate with operations team on day-to-day matters, studies issues, and the development of the studies cost to ensure alignment and support of study completion by due date
- As the tariff environment has become more fluid, the Forward Model analyst is helping to support incremental tariff work including:
- Understanding the various tariff types and how they impact Ford to support ad-hoc tariff assignments
- Learn the Alteryx spreadbase model
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop strong, positive working relationships with the MP&L operating team and other organizations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
- Ability to reassess and adapt schedule to changing priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
- Possess a process improvement mindset; implement new methods and ideas
- Proficiency with MS Excel and opportunity to learn new data modeling software (e.g., QlikView, Tableau)

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $56,400-$94,900.
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
