Financial Analyst FP&A

Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst provides analytics, insights and support strategic plans and growth opportunities for Athletico while responsible for annual budgeting, monthly forecast, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverage budgeting templates and tools to develop initial budget in participation of the annual budget and reforecast processes. Work interactively with department heads to finalize SG&A budget; prepare summary reports and communicate to finance leadership team.
- Ensure overall accuracy of planning and forecasting; review and diagnose variances to the plan and forecast.
- Analyze and develop insights related to key drivers of administrative costs across platform to guide decision-making and provide financial cost/benefit analysis on departmental initiatives.
- Prepare and review of monthly financial reporting including extracting and aggregating financial data; preparing summary spreadsheets, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics, and highlighting notable issues and trends.
- Prepare high profile deliverables presented to Finance senior leadership team including high level presentations of financial trends and performance, major capital projects and other company initiatives.
- Perform detailed review of financial variance reports and identify any operational or performance concerns and the underlying drivers. Proactively present findings to finance management.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision making.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Aggregate and summarize data, develop graphs that accurately reflect the context of the information presented, apply best practices to ensure data integrity, and produce executive- and board-level presentation materials.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, FinanceorAccounting
- Work Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in FP&A and/or financial reporting
- Experience with Power BI or Raintree strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-confidence to participate in meetings and discuss financial results with executive leadership team.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Knowledge and Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint: efficient database sourcing, utilization of standard Excel functions (sumif/s, v/hlookup, index/match, indirect, pivot tables, data tables, filters)
- Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Physical Demands:
- Ability to fulfill office activities including but not limited to remain stationary for extended periods of time (i.e. while working at a desk), stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the office, communicate with others (verbal and written), and use fine motor skills including fine hand manipulation and keyboarding.
- Ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
- Consistent with a standard office environment, noise level is low with little to no extraordinary environmental factors.
