Primary Purpose

The Financial Analyst plays a key role in the accurate planning, reporting, and analysis of PHI’s annual 5-year Long Range Plan (LRP) and monthly Latest Estimate (LE) forecasts. This position also plays an integral role in building and maintaining PHI’s Transmission and Distribution forecasted formula rate, rate case and capital tracker models, ensuring accurate financial statement reporting and supporting regulatory rate filings.


Primary Duties

  • Support the development of the LRP and LE forecasts by ensuring all forecast elements are prepared according to 
        approved methodologies, incorporating the latest historical data, regulatory assumptions, and corporate assumptions
  • Analyze financial results and prepare presentations to effectively communicate financial performance to senior 
        management
  • Work with multiple finance and data systems to complete timely and accurate reporting to management for standard 
        reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Identify operational process inefficiencies through variance reporting and recommend necessary improvements

  • Works under general supervision

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 4-year degree in financial related field and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Analytical understanding of finance and accounting
  • Effective written skills
  • Thorough computer base analytical skills (Microsoft Office)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Experience with Financial Systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $68,800.00/Yr. – $94,600.00/Yr.
