As a Fund Servicing Analyst in Securities Services Operations, you will ensure timely and accurate net asset value (NAV) delivery to support fund accounting and client release. Within the third-party derivatives servicing team, you will process, value, and reconcile client over-the-counter derivatives portfolios, including foreign exchange forwards and contracts for difference, using approved platforms and market and economic data. You will support four core services: NAV support (capturing instructions, processing client-provided valuations and cash flows, and reconciling to fund managers), independent valuations (producing in-house or third-party valuations and cash flows, reconciling to fund managers and counterparties, and generating standard reporting), middle office support (valuations plus confirmation and settlement management), and asset verification (independent verification of derivatives positions and activity). You will apply strong product knowledge and processing controls to support accurate trade booking, valuation, and cash and collateral processing in line with client instructions and reporting. You will partner with internal teams to resolve breaks, reduce manual touchpoints, and strengthen end-to-end controls across the derivatives servicing lifecycle.
Job responsibilities:
- Apply derivatives and securities markets knowledge to support accurate trade booking, valuation, and processing.
- Execute controlled processing of trades and lifecycle events in line with client instructions and reporting.
- Validate trades, valuations, cash flows, and collateral movements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve trade-related breaks and exceptions within required timelines.
- Serve as a first-level authorizer for in-scope activities in accordance with procedures and controls.
- Act as a primary escalation point for internal and external queries, ensuring timely responses.
- Resolve client inquiries within agreed service levels and communicate status and risks clearly.
- Partner with internal teams to drive efficient exception resolution and prevent recurrence.
- Perform root-cause analysis to increase straight-through processing and reduce client inquiries.
- Partner with client service teams to reduce manual processing and improve end-to-end workflows.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Experience or working knowledge of Derivatives on OTC products.
- Knowledge of client valuation process and all security types (Bonds, Equities, Commodities, and Indices etc) their accounting treatment and Derivative experience
- Excellent communication, interaction and influencing skills. Comfortable at interacting with and communicating to all levels of management.
- Quick learner and capable of grasping nuances of products and implications of their processing requirements..
- Partners well with peers, subordinates, managers and functional partners (e.g., Risk, Technology, Operations, and Finance).
- Able to grasp/learn concepts and procedures quickly
