<p>SAP Datasphere Platform Engineer <br>OrgCode: GDB/Z <br>Product Team: Data Fundation <br>Responsibilities: <br>Role Purpose: Responsible for designing, implementing, and enabling the SAP Business <br>Data Cloud (SAP Datasphere) platform as the enterprise foundation for modern, business<br>driven data architecture. The role bridges architecture, engineering, and enablement — <br>ensuring both reliable technical operations and broad business adoption across domains. <br>Design, implement, and maintain the overall SAP Datasphere platform architecture.  <br>Establish data domain-driven and data product-based design principles.  Integrate SAP <br>(S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) and non-SAP data sources (Azure, APIs) via ODP, SDI, or native <br>connectors  Build and optimize data pipelines, semantic models, and analytical datasets.  <br>Ensure robust data governance, access control, and security configuration.  Lead platform <br>evolution towards a federated, business data fabric model.  Collaborate with enterprise <br>architects, product family architects, data governance, SAP- and cloud infrastructure <br>teams.  Develop enablement strategies, best practices, and onboarding frameworks for <br>data domain teams.  Conduct training, create documentation, and foster community of <br>practice for self-service use cases.  Monitor platform performance, manage incidents, and <br>ensure system reliability.  Drive continuous improvement through automation (CI/CD, <br>DevOps for data) and usage analytics. <br>Qualifications: <br>5+ years of professional experience in data architecture, integration, or analytics platforms.  <br>Proven expertise in SAP Datasphere (or formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud) <br>administration, modeling, and operations.  Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services, <br>connectivity, and hybrid integration technologies.  Deep understanding of semantic <br>modeling, data lineage, and data virtualization concepts.  Proficiency in SQL and <br>experience with scripting (Python, ABAP CDS, or similar).  Hands-on experience with SAP <br>Analytics Cloud or equivalent BI tools.  Familiarity with data governance frameworks <br>(DAMA, Business Data Fabric).  Knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure, GCP, AWS) and <br>federated query patterns.  Strong communication skills to collaborate across IT and <br>business domains.  Experience in coaching, enablement, or community building within data <br>initiatives.  Practical experience in authorisation concept design and implementation in <br>Datasphere, ideally with 3rd party IAM tool <br>What we offer:  <br>Be part of a global leader in digital transformation, working in a vibrant Digital Hub that <br>values innovation, agility, and cross-functional collaboration.
