British American Tobacco Germany has an exciting opportunity for a GDPR & Consumer Data Governance Executive in Hamburg
Your key responsibilities will include:
Drive GDPR Governance, Compliance & Strategic Programmes
- Act as the End Market subject matter expert for GDPR-related consumer information workflows, governance and strategic project delivery.
- Ensure practices for handling consumer information, operational processes, and technical solutions are aligned with GDPR requirements and BAT policies.
- Lead and coordinate GDPR-related programs, projects and workstreams across Business, Legal and Technology functions.
- Convert legal and compliance requirements into practical business requirements, operational processes and technical implementation plans.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to assess privacy risks, support documentation and ensure GDPR requirements are embedded into consumer data processes, project delivery and systems like Salesforce, Saleforce Marketing-Cloud and Magento.
- Drive initiatives related to Data Retention & Deletion, Consent Management, Access Management, Consumer Data Governance, Website Cookies and Privacy Compliance.
- Manage project achievements, risks, dependencies and partner alignment to ensure delivery against agreed timelines and quality expectations.
Manage Consumer Data Ecosystems & Operational Controls
- Oversee consumer registration processes and ensure compliant data collection across relevant consumer touchpoints.
- Drive enhancements of registration journeys, consent capture mechanisms and consumer data quality controls.
- Support governance frameworks that enable accurate, secure and compliant use of consumer data.
- Find opportunities for automation, standardisation and process simplification across the consumer data landscape.
What are we looking for?
- University degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Law, Data Protection, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Significant experience in GDPR compliance, consumer data management, CRM operations, project management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of GDPR principles, consent management, consumer data lifecycle management and privacy governance.
- Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical business and technical solutions.
- Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple collaborators and external partners.
- Excellent collaborator management, communication and influencing skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English; German fluency is expected.
