Responsibilities The Opportunity The POC Buyer is responsible for executing and supporting tactical sourcing activities within the myBUY (ARIBA) platform, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and driving value through competitive bidding processes. This role acts as a key point of contact for stakeholders across North America, managing purchase requests (PRs), facilitating RFQs, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely procurement execution. The POC Buyer plays a critical role in delivering productivity, enhancing user experience, and maintaining operational excellence. Your Impact As *** your functions would consist of … (L04 – L06) Manage end-to-end tactical sourcing activities for PRs above threshold, ensuring compliance with procurement policies (e.g., 3-bid process). Review and validate purchase requests (PRs) for completeness, accuracy, and policy adherence. Execute RFQs and support supplier selection through competitive bidding and analysis. Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, improve specifications, and drive better sourcing outcomes. Ensure preferred supplier usage and guide users toward catalog-enabled buying where applicable. Track and report savings and productivity metrics aligned with internal frameworks (e.g., Power Steering). Support resolution of exceptions such as emergency or retrospective PRs, ensuring proper documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Concierge, Supplier Enablement, Governance, Finance) to ensure seamless procurement operations. Monitor SLAs, manage backlog, and ensure timely PR processing. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience. Support change management initiatives and adoption of new tools/processes (e.g., catalog-first approach). Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field. Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and compliance frameworks. Experience with procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms). Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate bids and identify savings opportunities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities. Experience in tactical sourcing, RFQs, and supplier negotiations is preferred. Familiarity with North America procurement operations is a plus. Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with North America stakeholders.
