HCM Business Analyst
Job Description
Initial 6 month contract with a view to extend
Macquarie Park location
We are looking for an experienced HCM Business Analyst to join a major HR transformation program. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands HR processes, can work closely with stakeholders and is comfortable getting into the detail to help deliver practical solutions.
You don’t need to have worked on a specific HCM platform — Oracle HCM experience is desirable, but we are open to candidates with strong experience across other HCM platforms.
About the role
You will work across business and technology teams to understand requirements, map processes and support the design and delivery of HCM solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical solutions
- Mapping current and future-state HR processes
- Developing business requirements, functional documentation and configuration workbooks
- Working closely with functional and technical teams through design, configuration, testing and implementation
- Identifying process improvements and opportunities to simplify and standardise HR processes
- Supporting workshops, requirements gathering, process design and solution validation
- Ensuring solutions align with the broader HR transformation objectives
- Supporting testing, defect resolution and implementation activities
Qualifications
We're looking for a practical, delivery-focused BA who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get into the detail
You will ideally bring:
- Strong Business Analysis experience within HR/HCM environments
- Experience working on HR transformation or HCM implementation projects
- Experience with an HCM platform such as Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Dayforce or similar
- Strong process mapping and requirements gathering skills
- Experience developing configuration workbooks or functional specifications
- Good understanding of HR processes, particularly Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management and Recruitment would be desirable
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively between business stakeholders, functional teams and technical teams
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to hit the ground running
The person
This role will suit someone who is curious, commercially minded and solutions-focused — someone who doesn't just document requirements but wants to understand the problem, improve the process and help deliver the solution.
If you have strong HCM/HR transformation experience and are comfortable getting into the detail, we'd like to hear from you.
