Head of Data Architecture & Governance
Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Head of Data Architecture & Governance to lead the evolution of Quadient’s enterprise data ecosystem and governance capabilities.
This is a newly created leadership role that will play a critical part in enabling Quadient’s Elevate to 2030 strategy, helping the organization build scalable, trusted, and AI-ready data foundations across the business.
You will operate at the intersection of data strategy, architecture, governance, analytics, AI, and compliance, partnering closely with technology, business, security, and analytics teams to shape the future of enterprise data at Quadient.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong enterprise data architecture expertise with the ability to drive collaboration, influence stakeholders, and operationalize governance practices across complex organizations.
- Define and lead Quadient’s enterprise data architecture and governance strategy
- Establish scalable frameworks for data quality, master data management, metadata, governance, and stewardship
- Design target-state architectures supporting analytics, AI, machine learning, and modern cloud data platforms
- Drive adoption of enterprise data governance practices across business and technology teams
- Partner with leadership, architecture, engineering, analytics, security, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution
- Define standards for data ingestion, transformation, storage, security, access, and lifecycle management
- Support the evolution toward modern data architectures, including data lakes/lakehouses and real-time data platforms
- Lead and grow a high-performing data architecture and governance capability
- Ensure enterprise data practices align with security, privacy, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or data leadership roles
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and governance frameworks
- Proven ability to establish collaborative partnerships and drive organizational adoption of data practices
- Experience with data quality, master data management, governance, and data stewardship
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data ecosystems, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience with platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Familiarity with analytics and AI-enabled data environments
- Experience leading technical teams and influencing enterprise-wide strategies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level interactions
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-platform enterprise environments
Nice to have
- Experience with post-M&A environments or highly fragmented enterprise landscapes
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide AI and advanced analytics initiatives
- Knowledge of enterprise compliance and privacy requirements, including GDPR
