Your future team: 

This strategic leadership role sits within ROCKWOOL's newly build Data Excellence organisation, which leads the company's enterprise data strategy and governance. While the role plays a key part in RockONE, it is part of a long-term function with responsibility for embedding data excellence across the business well beyond the programme itself. 

 

You will lead the Data Management Excellence department, working closely with the newly established Process Excellence team, RockONE programme, Steering Committee, Digital leaders, OPCOs, and Group Functions. Together, you'll establish the governance, ownership, and standards that enable data to become a trusted strategic asset across the enterprise. 

What you will be doing: 

As Head of Data Management Excellence, you will establish and lead ROCKWOOL's future enterprise data management capability while driving the structure data structures with the RockONE programme. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution to ensure data governance and quality are embedded from the outset. 

 

You will: 

  • Define and evolve ROCKWOOL's enterprise data management strategy, governance framework, and policies. 

  • Build, lead, and develop three high-performing teams of data owners, stewards, and governance specialists. 

  • Lead the Data Structures for RockONE setting priorities, roadmaps, KPIs, and governance while managing dependencies across projects.  

  • Establish enterprise data models, business definitions, taxonomies, and data standards. 

  • Drive the implementation of master data management, data quality, and stewardship practices across the organisation. 

  • Ensure compliance with privacy, security, regulatory, and audit requirements through effective data governance. 

  • Measure and continuously improve organisational data maturity, demonstrating the business value of data management initiatives and driving adoption across the enterprise. 

 

What you bring: 

We're looking for an experienced enterprise data leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to deliver lasting organizational change. You have successfully built data management capabilities, influenced senior stakeholders, and led complex transformation initiatives across business and technology. 

 

You bring: 

 

  • Extensive experience leading the business enterprise data management and governance in large, international organisations. 

  • Strong expertise in master data management, data quality, metadata, enterprise data modelling, and governance frameworks. 

  • A proven track record delivering data capabilities as part of ERP, digital, or enterprise transformation programmes. 

  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams while influencing senior business and technology leaders. 

  • Strong communication and change leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business value. 

  • Thrives in global organisations with a commercial mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in data management practices.
