We are looking for a Risk & Data analyst to provide quantitative data modeling and reporting support for Morrison Express risk management operations. This role is based at our headquarters to leverage data analysis to structure global data, automate into informative metrics. Working directly with the insurance & risk specialist and broader GSR team, the position eliminates manual reporting burdens, improves data visibility, and supports cross-functional risk governance with organized information.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Claims & Loss Data Management: Structure, clean, and maintain global cargo claims and risk datasets within GSR. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across regional systems to support robust quantitative analysis.
  2. Predictive Analytics & Trend Modeling: Apply data science models to analyze historical claims frequency, loss severity, and high-risk trade lanes. Identify root causes to prioritize preventative controls.
  3. Process & Workflow Automation: Design automated data pipelines, claims tracking templates, and intake tools to streamline daily workflows for the Claims Specialist, eliminating manual data entry and processing delays.
  4. Reporting & Compliance: Generate regular claims reports, monitor pending cases, and ensure all records meet audit and insurance compliance standards.


ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Hands-on experience building interactive dashboards and automated risk reports using Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel (Power Query, VBA, and complex formulas).
  • Ability to design automated data intake templates and reporting pipelines to eliminate manual data entry and streamline team workflows.
  • Understanding of statistical modeling, regression analysis, and data trend forecasting techniques.


Knowledge/Work Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, risk analysis, or financial/insurance analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in extracting, cleaning, structuring, and analyzing large datasets from disparate sources.
  • Proven hands-on experience building interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) or automated reporting tools for business stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Mandarin; proficient in English (verbal and written), capable of preparing reports and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and document accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of insurance concepts (e.g., claims, deductibles, premiums) or logistics/supply chain workflows is a plus.
