Gijón, Asturias, Spain (Hybrid) Workday | HRIS Support | 2+ years' experience | Fluent English required
Help shape the employee experience behind the scenes of a global organization
At Chemours, we believe great systems help create great employee experiences. As a HRIS Analyst based in Gijón, Asturias, you will play an important role in supporting and improving Workday for employees and managers across our global business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technology, HR, problem-solving, and stakeholder interaction. You won't simply be processing tickets. You'll be helping employees, improving processes, supporting global projects, and contributing to the future development of Workday within a growing international team.
What makes this role particularly interesting is the exposure you'll gain across the entire employee lifecycle. From hire-to-retire processes to compliance, reporting, system enhancements, testing, and user support, you'll develop a broad understanding of how HR technology enables business success across a global organization.
What you'll be doing
No two days look the same: One day you may be helping a manager resolve a Workday issue, updating documentation, or performing data audits. Another day, you could be testing new system enhancements, supporting year-end processes, collaborating with colleagues across EMEA and the US, or contributing ideas for future Workday improvements and AI-enabled solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for Workday support tickets and resolving user issues
- Maintaining and improving Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and HRIS documentation
- Managing and updating HRIS content within SharePoint
- Supporting year-end HRIS activities, audits, reporting, and compliance processes
- Testing Workday configuration changes and documenting results
- Supporting HRIS projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance standards are maintained
Why this opportunity stands out
This role is rarely available and offers something many HRIS positions cannot: real growth potential within a highly collaborative global team.
You'll join a team known for supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and investing in development. Whether your background is Workday-focused, HR systems, HR operations, or business support, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and gain exposure to global stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
The Asturias office is also Chemours' EMEA headquarters, creating visibility, networking opportunities, and long-term career development. Many team members have expanded into project work, stakeholder management, and consulting-focused responsibilities over time.
What we're looking for
You will likely bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of HRIS experience, ideally supporting Workday
- Experience managing HR system documentation and user guides
- Experience with SharePoint administration and content management
- Knowledge of HRIS audits, compliance processes, and year-end activities
- Understanding of Workday testing and configuration support
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Fluent English communication skills
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with strong customer service skills, emotional intelligence, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help others.
You'll interact with employees ranging from operators to senior leaders, so professionalism, empathy, confidence, and stakeholder management are key.
