Introduction Welcome to Gallagher - a global community of people who bring bold ideas, deep expertise, and a shared commitment to doing what’s right. We help clients navigate complexity with confidence by empowering businesses, communities, and individuals to thrive. At Gallagher, you’ll find more than a job; you’ll find a culture built on trust, driven by collaboration, and sustained by the belief that we’re better together. Whether you join us in a client-facing role or as part of our brokerage division, our benefits and HR consulting division, or our corporate team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, make an impact, and be part of something bigger. Experience a workplace where you’re encouraged to be yourself, supported to succeed, and inspired to keep learning. That’s what it means to live The Gallagher Way. Overview The Sr. Systems Analyst is a back-end–focused role that bridges Gallagher’s functional teams and technical delivery groups to convert business needs into precise, build‑ready specifications and to orchestrate the design and optimization of our global Talent Acquisition systems ecosystem—applications, integrations, and data flows. Partnering with product owners, solution designers, enterprise architects, HRIS, developers, QA, and release/DevOps, this role leads structured discovery and technical elaboration sessions; produces end‑to‑end workflow and integration maps, data models, sequence diagrams, and interface contracts; and manages the requirements lifecycle and traceability from intake through design, build, and release. The analyst curates clear, versioned, audit‑ready documentation and ensures solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance standards to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant outcomes worldwide. The analyst strengthens delivery quality by defining acceptance criteria, shaping test strategies, and supporting execution across smoke, regression, integration, performance, and UAT cycles; coordinating defect triage and root‑cause analysis; validating data quality; and confirming release readiness via deployment plans, runbooks, and change records. Operating behind the scenes in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment, the role harmonizes priorities across global teams, influences without formal authority, and applies metrics and continuous improvement to drive resilient solutions that support Gallagher’s growth at scale. How you'll make an impact Technical Operations & Issue Management:Act as the back-end bridge between functional teams and technical delivery groups; manage demand intake and triage, perform L3 analysis, coordinate escalations with IT/DevOps and vendors, and stabilize applications, integrations, and data pipelines to meet availability and SLA targets. Requirements & Technical Specifications:Translate functional needs into build-ready technical specifications, including system behavior, non-functional requirements, data mappings, and interface contracts; maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through design, testing, and release. Workflow, Data & Integration Mapping:Produce end-to-end process flows, system context and sequence diagrams, and API/ETL/event integration maps; document data models and transformations; assess upstream/downstream impacts and global dependencies. Discovery & Solution Elaboration:Lead cross-functional discovery and technical elaboration sessions with product owners, architects, developers, QA, and security; clarify scope and edge cases, decompose epics into user stories and tasks, and define clear acceptance criteria. Testing & Quality Assurance:Define test strategies and create test cases and data; coordinate and support smoke, system, integration, regression, and performance testing; drive defect triage and root-cause analysis; enforce QA protocols and requirements-to-test traceability. Release & Change Management:Prepare release readiness checklists and go/no-go criteria; coordinate deployments with DevOps/IT; validate post-deployment changes, monitor system health, manage rollback/runbooks, and maintain configuration/change records. Documentation & Knowledge Management:Create and maintain versioned specifications, data dictionaries, configuration baselines, and interface catalogs in a centralized repository; ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance standards. Compliance, Security & Data Integrity:Uphold Gallagher policies and regulatory requirements (privacy, security, accessibility, records retention); implement and validate data quality controls, access/segregation-of-duties, and logging; support audits and evidence collection. Data & Continuous Improvement:Monitor delivery and operational KPIs (defect leakage, cycle time, test coverage, SLA adherence, data quality); analyze trends and root causes; recommend automation and process improvements; inform backlog prioritization and release planning. About you 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, TA Operations, or HRIS. Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and documenting workflows/integrations. Hands-on experience supporting testing cycles (UAT, regression, integration, smoke testing). Strong knowledge of HR/Talent systems (ATS, CRM, HRIS) and integrations (APIs, ETL, data flows). Experience with data mapping, system configuration, and SDLC/change management practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, root-cause identification, and data quality validation. Experience with SQL or data tools is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience working with cross-functional and global teams. Ability to influence stakeholders and work across different time zones.
