Job Description:

Summary:

The HRIS Analyst serves as the functional liaison between Human Resources and the IT department, ensuring that Workday and legacy systems are optimized to support HR business operations. This role focuses on everyday functional health and data integrity monitoring the system to ensure it meets the daily needs of the HR team and its stakeholders. The HRIS Analyst identifies process gaps, manages HR-specific security access, and supports functional testing for system updates. By leveraging advanced reporting and audit tools, this role safeguards the accuracy of HR and benefit data while collaborating with IT to implement enhancements that streamline high-effort HR workflows.

Essential Functions:

1.) Functional System Oversight

  • Monitor the daily performance of Workday and legacy HRIS platforms to ensure they support HR operations effectively; serve as the primary HR point of contact for identifying system glitches or performance issues.

2.) IT Collaboration & Configuration Support

  • Partner closely with the IT department to coordinate system configurations, updates, and maintenance; lead user-end testing (UAT) for HR to ensure that IT-led changes meet functional requirements before moving to Production.

3.) Security & Access Coordination

  • Assist and audit HR-specific security role assignments within the system, ensuring appropriate data access for users while maintaining strict adherence to university privacy and compliance protocols.

4.) Process Enhancement & Implementation:

  • Works alongside the HRIS manager to proactively identify opportunities to streamline high-effort HR processes; assist to translate HR needs into technical requirements for IT and assist in the rollout of these enhancements to end-users.

5.) Legacy System Stewardship

  • Maintain functional knowledge and support for legacy systems to ensure historical data remains accessible and accurate for reporting and compliance purposes.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full-time.

  • 35 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing HRIS backend management and configuration support.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with Workday is highly desirable.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience manipulating data sets for reporting.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
