THIS ROLE
this role plays a key role in protecting IQEQ's networks, systems, and critical information assets. In this role, you will monitor and respond to security threats, investigate cyber incidents, and operate security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and SOC tools. You will work closely with Red and Blue Teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and strengthen the organization's security posture. This position is ideal for a security professional who is passionate about threat detection, incident response, continuous improvement, and staying ahead of the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You'll monitor networks, systems, and applications to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats, breaches, and cyber incidents.
- You'll operate and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, SIEM, SOC, and other security tools to safeguard the organization's infrastructure.
- You'll document security incidents, assess their impact, respond to MyIT security requests, and support timely remediation efforts.
- You'll collaborate with Red and Blue Teams to perform security testing, identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and maintain high security standards.
- You'll stay current on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and industry standards while researching and recommending security improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.

Qualifications
ABOUT YOU
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in information security and security solution administration.
- You have hands-on knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and techniques for assessing system and network security.
- You possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IPS/IDS solutions.
- You are experienced with security and infrastructure tools such as Darktrace, Nessus, Acunetix, Nmap, Kaspersky AV, SCCM, Windows Security, Cisco ASA, and Cisco ISE.
- You can identify network and system vulnerabilities, develop mitigation plans, and manage patch deployments while balancing business impact and operational requirements.
