POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy across a fast-paced manufacturing operation with high inventory turnover and material movement. This role analyzes inventory transactions, identifies and resolves discrepancies, facilitates cycle count program, monitors inventory performance metrics, and partners with Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Finance to ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment where inventory accuracy is critical to production continuity and customer fulfillment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop, coordinate, and execute cycle count programs.

· Analyze count variances and determine underlying causes.

· Monitor adherence to inventory control procedures and counting standards.

· Support annual physical inventories and audit activities

· Track inventory accuracy metrics and report performance to management.

· Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.

· Ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, production reporting, and adjustments.

· Identify trends impacting inventory performance and implement corrective actions.

· Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory records.

· Analyze inventory performance metrics including: Inventory accuracy, Inventory turns, Material shortages, Slow-moving and obsolete inventory

· Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce working capital.

· Partner with production teams to ensure material availability.

· Investigate material shortages impacting production schedules.

· Monitor WIP (Work in Process) inventory accuracy.

· Support engineering and production change initiatives affecting inventory.

· Assist with BOM (Bill of Material) and routing validation activities.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and material flow.

· Standardize inventory control processes and work instructions.

· Support implementation of warehouse and inventory best practices.

· Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.

· Support internal and external audits.

· Maintain accurate documentation of inventory adjustments and investigations
