Position Summary The Senior IT Applications Operations Analysts applies technical skills, system knowledge and subject matter expertise to diagnose and resolve application and data related problems that are unusual, more difficult or have a broad scope. Assignments are based on extensive knowledge of concepts, principles or practices in a specific discipline, field or area of expertise, and require seasoned, experienced-based judgment in applying and adapting techniques. Manages and maintains multiple production and non-production SmartMeter Applications. Performs overall maintenance and monitoring of the applications, including tool development, critical software and OS patching, support of IT Risk Management and Disaster Recovery programs, for all test and production environments. Configures application for optimum performance requirements to meet business requirements. Work directly with SQL server environment, storage configurations and cross-system data flows, ensuring high-performance, reliable data movement between Oracle and SQL server systems. Must have a strong understanding of the SQL server database engine works, including but not limited to physical storage, indexing, physical database design best practices and query optimizer.
