IT Business Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and self-driven IT Business Analyst to support IT financial management, vendor and outsourcing performance, and portfolio governance. This role partners closely with IT Business Partners (ITBP) to run the PMO, drive budget discipline and Cloud FinOps practices, and champion the adoption of IT and AI tools across the R&D community. The ideal candidate combines strong IT, cloud, and AI knowledge with excellent communication and coordination skills, and thrives on managing multiple projects independently.
Key Responsibilities
IT Budget & Financial Management
Lead the annual IT budget planning cycle, including forecasting, allocation, and alignment with business priorities
Manage budget execution and monitoring: track actuals vs. plan, analyze variances, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
Drive Cloud FinOps practices: monitor cloud spend, identify cost-optimization opportunities, and promote cost accountability across teams
Coordinate the Mid-Term Plan (MTP) process for IT, consolidating inputs and aligning with finance and business stakeholders
Procurement & Vendor Management
Manage the end-to-end IT purchasing process, including purchase requests, approvals, PO tracking, and invoice reconciliation
Manage Outsourcing Service Provider (OSP) performance: define and track SLAs/KPIs, run regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement with vendors
PMO & Portfolio Governance
Support ITBPs in running the PMO: project intake, prioritization, status tracking, and reporting
Support IT portfolio governance: maintain the project portfolio, prepare governance meeting materials, track decisions and follow-ups
Ensure projects comply with governance standards, budgets, and timelines
IT & AI Enablement for R&D
Promote IT and AI tools across the R&D community: organize demos, training sessions, and awareness campaigns
Act as a bridge between IT and R&D users, gathering feedback and driving adoption of digital and AI capabilities
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field
Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and AI/GenAI tools and trends
Experience in IT budget management, financial analysis, or Cloud FinOps
Experience with procurement processes and vendor/OSP performance management
Familiarity with PMO practices and project portfolio governance
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills, able to work across IT, finance, business, and vendor teams
High autonomy and strong self-motivation; able to work with minimal supervision
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Preferred:
Master's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance.
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect)
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated environments
International or cross-functional IT experience (e.g., IT internship or rotation programs)
Experience supporting R&D or scientific user communities
