SUMMARY
The Network Support Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, securing, and improving the organization’s network infrastructure across corporate offices, warehouses, data Centres, and remote sites. This role requires strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, including Fortinet firewalls, Cisco networking, and Aruba wired and wireless solutions. The individual will provide operational support, troubleshoot complex network issues, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate network-related projects with vendors, carriers, managed service providers, and internal stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices, distribution centers, warehouses, and remote locations.
Administer and support Fortinet firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, security policies, NAT, routing, and related network security services.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Aruba switching, routing, wireless infrastructure, VLANs, network segmentation, and Layer 2/Layer 3 services.
Diagnose and resolve network incidents, performance issues, connectivity problems, and outages in accordance with service level objectives.
Participate in the planning, implementation, testing, and support of network upgrades, site deployments, infrastructure refreshes, and technology initiatives.
Monitor network availability, capacity, and performance using network management and monitoring tools; proactively identify and remediate potential issues.
Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, telecommunications providers, and managed service providers to ensure stable and secure network operations.
Support WAN, Internet, MPLS, DIA, LTE/5G, and cloud connectivity services across multiple locations.
Assist with network security initiatives, including firewall rule reviews, segmentation, access control, compliance requirements, and vulnerability remediation.
Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, standards, inventories, procedures, and operational runbooks.
Support wireless infrastructure by performing troubleshooting, coverage validation, and optimization activities for warehouse and office environments.
Participate in on-call support and incident response activities, including after-hours maintenance windows when required.
Assist with the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new networking technologies and solutions to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
Follow established change management, incident management, and IT service management processes.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to Service Desk staff and other IT team members.
Ensure network infrastructure adheres to company security standards, best practices, and business continuity requirements.
Support cloud networking initiatives, including connectivity to Azure, AWS, SaaS applications, and hybrid infrastructure environments where applicable.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in network administration, network support, or infrastructure operations within a multi-site enterprise environment.
Strong experience supporting Fortinet firewalls, including firewall policy management, site-to-site VPN, remote access VPN, routing, troubleshooting, and security monitoring.
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba switching, routing, wireless networking, VLANs, trunks, spanning tree, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
Experience working with vendors, telecom carriers, managed service providers, and third-party support teams to deliver network projects and resolve escalated incidents.
Experience supporting network services in warehouse, distribution, office, and/or data centre environments is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to document technical standards, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba Certified Switching/Wireless, or equivalent networking certifications are preferred.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPN, wireless design, network security, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Excellent communication, vendor coordination, documentation, analytical, and customer service skills.
