IT Reporting Analyst
Overview
Position Summary
A Reporting Analyst is part of a team responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of Yusen’s Enterprise Reporting System and associated deliverables that provide business intelligence to decision-makers at all levels and functions by delivering accurate, timely and actionable information. The position is required to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and must adhere to achievement-based performance metrics established by management.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing maintenance, new development, assistance and support in all aspects of the reporting infrastructure, specifically (but not limited to) the queries, workflow, templates and forms.
- Monitor the stability and performance of the reporting environment and make improvement recommendatins as needed.
- Timely and accurately meet project milestones and deliverables in the creation of data stores, data migration strategies, and multi-source data reports and views.
- Work with business, project teams, and departments to investigate and resolve information issues and data discrepancies.
- Design, develop and maintain templates and routines (workflows) to process information in support of the company's needs.
- Work with departmental, facility and branch managers as necessary to determine special needs of each group and adapt templates and workflows to meet the operational demands of the business and the visibility needs of the business and their customers and suppliers.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of and serve as SME about our data sources, tables and data relationships.
- Design, create, and implement new reports and modify, maintain and support existing reports.
- Schedule and/or deliver reports based on the specified frequency.
- Participate in evaluating future reporting tools and environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, (or equivalent experience required) preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of work experience in business intelligence, data analysis and reporting or similar functionl
- Content and Process Management certification a plus, not required
- Knowledge of Business Processes in the Supply Chain and Logistics industry strongly preferred
- Understanding of SQL and relational database technology, Data Warehouse technologies, and current reporting technologies
- Experience with Enterprise Content Management, Business Process Management or Document Management systems preferred
- Experience in the gathering of requirements and in the testing of deliverables to ensure to those requirements are met
- High proficiency in standard office applications
