IT Systems Analyst

This position is remote within our NC, SC, VA footprint. Although this position is primarily remote, there are occasional events and meetings that may require you to work on-site at one of our Truliant locations.

What you'll do
In this role, you'll serve as a key partner between business teams, IT, vendors, and project stakeholders. You'll support designated applications, troubleshoot issues, contribute to testing and implementation efforts, and help ensure technical solutions align with operational goals. Your work will help maintain strong system performance, support business continuity, and improve processes for internal users and members.
Day to day, you'll:
- Serve as an application administrator and subject matter expert for assigned business applications.
- Provide Level-2 support for critical application issues, managing internal and vendor tickets through resolution.
- Maintain application configurations, product settings, documentation, and ongoing system support activities.
- Partner with Information Security, Database, Infrastructure Services, business teams, and vendors to support secure, reliable application performance.
- Assist with enhancements, upgrades, hot fixes, database refreshes, testing efforts, and after-hours updates when business needs require it.
- Execute SQL queries and analyze data to help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain workflows, technical specifications, data analysis, and end-to-end system documentation.
- Support project managers, business analysts, and other systems analysts with task execution, estimates, implementation planning, and change control processes.
- Evaluate releases, enhancements, and new product offerings to identify business value, operational efficiencies, and user impact.
- Monitor vendor and service provider performance to help ensure service quality and support expectations are met.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Systems Analyst, or equivalent role, preferably in financial services, banking, or credit unions.
- Experience supporting business applications, systems analysis, application administration, or a comparable technology-focused role.
- Experience gathering requirements, supporting quality assurance or testing activities, and helping implement software or process improvements.
- Experience managing tickets, troubleshooting issues, documenting resolutions, and coordinating with vendors or technical partners.
- Experience supporting integrated software solutions and understanding how business processes connect to system workflows.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of business processes, particularly within a credit union or financial institution context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced and complex business environment with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of application security considerations, including user access, user roles, imported and exported data, and data storage.
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and the flexibility to shift priorities as needed.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
- Commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members, both internal and external.
- Ability to work in a general office environment.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.
You should also be comfortable partnering with business and technology teams, supporting applications that are important to daily operations, and adapting quickly as priorities, systems, and business needs evolve.

- Experience working in a credit union, banking, or financial services technology environment.
- Experience with application upgrades, change management, vendor coordination, or system integration efforts.
- Hands-on experience creating technical documentation, workflows, data analysis, or end-to-end system guides.
- Experience with functional, system, regression, or automated testing.
