Overview
Cognizant is seeking a Junior HR Analyst to join the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team. This role focuses on delivering efficient, high-quality HR operational support by managing service tickets, maintaining HR knowledge resources, and supporting business stakeholders with HR-related queries and processes.
Role Expectations
The Junior HR Analyst will be responsible for providing consistent and timely HR support while ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and organizational standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, respond to, and resolve HR service tickets within SLA, ensuring accurate and professional communication with requesters
- Triage and escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate HR specialist or HRBP, ensuring proper handover and follow-up
- Create and update HR content on the company intranet (e.g., SharePoint), ensuring information remains accurate, current, and easy to understand
- Collaborate with HR specialists to gather updated content on policies, benefits, and processes prior to publication or review deadlines
- Provide direct support to business stakeholders, including managers and senior leaders, guiding them through HR processes and resolving queries efficiently
- Develop HR guides, FAQs, and quick-reference materials tailored for leadership audiences
- Identify recurring ticket trends and recommend improvements to knowledge base or intranet content to reduce repeat queries
- Support HRSS operations during peak periods such as performance cycles, open enrollment, and HR campaigns
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data in compliance with applicable data protection regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or a related discipline
- Up to 2 years of experience in HR, customer service, or administrative support (internship experience is acceptable)
- Intermediate English proficiency with the ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in digital tools such as ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence), and productivity tools (MS Office or Google Workspace)
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, filters, and basic formulas
- Demonstrated service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
