Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in risk management consulting?

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Analytics Solutions team at Risk Consulting through our Professional Graduate Programme. This role will be based in Milan for a hybrid role.

Risk Consulting is a management consulting firm that provides risk management services as part of Marsh Risk, a leader in insurance brokerage and head of the international Marsh Group, a group of expertise in strategic and management consulting, reinsurance, human capital, and investments (Oliver Wyman, Guy Carpenter, Mercer).

The Analytics Solutions practice can support clients in assessing risk exposure through deterministic and probabilistic/actuarial approaches. Starting from a dataset on the phenomenon of interest, it is possible to estimate the underlying probability distribution and understand the economic impacts with associated confidence intervals. The practice also offers solutions for risk financing and management, as well as actuarial methodological approaches for capital management.

We will count on you to:

  • Data analysis: Use statistical and analytical tools to explore and interpret data, identifying significant trends and patterns.

  • Estimation of probability distributions: Apply advanced statistical models to estimate the probability distributions associated with risk variables, contributing to a detailed assessment.

  • Evaluation of insurance programs: Analyze the effectiveness of existing insurance programs and develop recommendations to maximize client value.

  • Analyze Solvency II capital requirements using the Standard Formula approach.

  • Development of interactive tools for dynamic real-time data visualization, such as creating customizable dashboards designed to support decisions based on data insights.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other teams to understand project needs and adapt analyses accordingly.

What you need to have:

  • University Master Degree in Actuarial Science

  • Language skills: Fluency in Italian and English

  • IT skills: Advanced skills in using main IT tools, especially the Microsoft Office Package (Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Advance knowledge of probability distributions used for implementing aggregate loss distributions, e.g: Poisson, Negative Binomial, Lognormal, Gaussian, etc.

  • Strong understanding of Solvency II Standard Formula capital calculations and regulatory requirements.

  • Intermediate knowledge of the main programming languages used in statistics: R, Python

  • Intermediate knowledge of dashboard creation tools, e.g., Power BI

What makes you stand out:

  • Analytical mindset

  • Self-motivation

  • Goal-orientation

  • Team-oriented attitude

  • Curiosity and willingness to take on new topics

  • Extracurricular activities

Why join our team:

  • Accelerated growth: Experience a journey of growth and acceleration through our comprehensive training program, combining technical and theoretical training with hands-on experience. Benefit from guidance provided by a Tutor, Mentor, and Buddy to ensure a supportive learning environment.

  • Strategic vision: Gain a deep understanding of Marsh Risk's organizational structure and strategic vision during our comprehensive induction training. Meet Senior Leaders and their Teams, providing valuable networking opportunities.

  • Unlock your potential: Nurture your talents and receive high-quality training.

What we offer:

  • Tailored career progression: The programme starts with a 6-month internship. At the end of the 6-month internship, based on the tutors' evaluation, the internship can proceed through an apprenticeship contract offering a starting gross annual salary of €28.000. The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (NCBA) applied is 'Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi’.

  • Additional attractive benefits offered with the apprenticeship contract: insurance coverages, supplementary pension plan, facultative health assistance, flexible benefits, optional stock purchase plan. Further details will be shared during the selection process.
