We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.
About This Role
The Land Acquisitions team works primarily in the ERCOT and SPP markets and on a variety of technologies including wind, solar, storage, OGM, transmission, and data centers. The scope of the team covers full cycle development from early-stage strategy through to start of construction, with a primary focus on site selection and acquisition to maintain schedule, budget, and economic value of each project. The team coordinates closely with all major SME departments on a daily basis.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Land Acquisition professional to join our team. This role will support real estate work streams across multiple large-scale projects, helping secure and maintain site control in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and organizational skills, the ability to manage evolving priorities, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic development team.
What You’ll Do

Support the negotiation, preparation, and closing of complex land agreements (leases, purchases, easements, surface waivers, etc.), collaborating with internal and external legal teams.

Manage land-related data with a high degree of accuracy, including maintaining tracking systems and auditing data to ensure reliable records.

Support land acquisition budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting efforts, including preparation of executive-level summaries and materials.

Support project visibility by developing and maintaining reporting dashboards and preparing analytical summaries for internal stakeholders.

Identify and implement process improvements - including the use of automation where applicable - to enhance reporting efficiency and data integrity.

Lead various stages of the land acquisition process, including resolving title and survey issues.

Strategically support the performance of third-party land agents and document specialists, ensuring consistent communication and documentation quality.

Collaborate closely with Development and Permitting Teams to ensure acquisition efforts align with project schedules.

Provide ongoing support to Managers and Directors on specific projects.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Land Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field required.

2+ years of experience in real estate, renewable energy, project coordination, land acquisition, or related work preferred.

Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes required.

High level of proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Sheets, Docs, and Slides, including experience organizing data, maintaining trackers, and building reporting materials.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable working through ambiguity.

Familiarity with Google Earth or GIS platforms is a plus.

Passion for renewable energy development and infrastructure projects.
