LIS Analyst II- Lab- FT- 1st Shift
Overview
Under the direction of the LIS Administrator, the LIS Analyst II assists with the management of the Laboratory Information System including daily operations of the Laboratory information system. Responsibilities include database updates and changes, system upgrade testing and validation, interface implementation and support, hardware maintenance and support, system troubleshooting, project management, CAP compliance and shared after hours on-call support.
Is an integral team member working with Information Technology with the ability to communicate across organizational lines.
Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or certification as a Medical Technologist from a nationally recognized credentialing agency, i.e., ASCP, HEW, or AMT preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory, with IT experience.

Must have excellent communication skills including both oral and written skills, Must have excellent analytical, problem solving and customer service skills. Must have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with teams across organizational lines, including administrative and executive staff. Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet deadlines as required. Must demonstrate strong technical and computer skills and be adaptable to rapidly changing technologies. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be self motivated, have the ability to complete projects with little supervision, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must have knowledge of current standards, legislation, practices, delivery systems, documentation methods and trends in medicine.
