Purpose of the Role



We are looking for an experienced LPG Market Analyst to join our global trading team. In this role, you will deliver market intelligence and analytical support that helps drive trading decisions. You will be responsible for monitoring global LPG market developments, building analytical models, identifying market trends and opportunities, and working closely with traders to provide actionable insights. The role is based in London or Singapore.



Accountabilities/ Key Result Areas



  • Monitor and analyse global LPG market fundamentals, including supply and demand, pricing, trade flows, freight, arbitrage opportunities, and regulatory developments.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret market and trade data from multiple sources to generate timely and meaningful market insights.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain supply and demand models, forecasting tools, and other analytical frameworks used to support trading activities.
  • Produce regular market reports, presentations, and ad hoc analysis for traders and senior management.
  • Track vessel movements and trade flows to identify changes in market dynamics and emerging trading opportunities.
  • Work closely with traders and fellow analysts to evaluate market developments and contribute to trading strategies.
  • Continuously improve analytical models and reporting tools to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Keep up to date with industry news, macroeconomic trends, geopolitical developments, and competitor activity that may impact LPG markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with market participants and external contacts to strengthen market intelligence.

Skills and experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • At least three years of experience in commodity market analysis or a similar analytical position, ideally within the energy or refined products sector.
  • Previous experience analysing LPG markets is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into commercial insights.
  • Experience working with trade data, visualization platforms, and statistical or analytical software.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar data analysis tools, together with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good understanding of commodity trading, market fundamentals, financial modelling, and risk management concepts.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong programming and database skills, particularly in Python and SQL. Experience with R, MATLAB, or VBA would be considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on knowledge of global LPG markets.
  • Familiarity with naphtha markets would be beneficial.
