<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Who we are supporting</strong><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>The program </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.</span></p>

<p><strong>Role ID – C004896</strong></p>
<p><strong>Role Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for a functional subject matter expert (SME) with extensive experience with the LOGFAS software suite, including practical military experience of Movement and Transportation planning and execution, and Logistics Reporting business processes.</p>
<p>The LOGFAS SME will typically work at NCIA in Mons, Belgium or at a customer's location in Germany. At the customer's location, the LOGFAS SME will provide on-site mentoring on the use of LOGFAS. This on-site mentoring will primarily be performed at a customer's location in Germany, but may also be required to be performed at related locations in NATO nations. Overall, the LOGFAS SME is expected to work up to half of the time at NCIA in Mons, Belgium, and the other half in Germany or related locations in NATO nations. All on-site work outside of NCIA in Mons, Belgium will be considered as Temporary Duty (TDY), and reimbursed according to NATO regulations.</p>
<p>This post is part of the team that provides application support services at the highest advanced support level. The LOGFAS SME provides application support, including on-the-job mentoring, but also works to improve how the services are delivered, operated and maintained. Overall, the team also consists of support engineers, software developers and other subject matter experts.</p>
<p>The incumbent will perform duties such as the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide on-site and off-site on-the-job mentoring for users of LOGFAS.</li>
<li>Participate in daily status update meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and other meetings, in person via electronic means.</li>
<li>Participate in requirements elicitation, analysis and design discussions.</li>
<li>Support bug fixing and stability improvements.</li>
<li>Create and run test cases.</li>
<li>Create and update documentation.</li>
<li>Support users in the acceptance testing.</li>
<li>Support the operations and maintenance of LOGFAS.</li>
<li>Investigate the best ways to solve problems, including documenting and presenting pros and cons to the team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Skills, Experience and Certifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Expert knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of and practical experience with the complete LOGFAS software suite.</li>
<li>Practical military experience of the Movement and Transportation planning and execution, and Logistics Reporting business processes and the LOGFAS software to cover the tasks list under these duties.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of the governing NATO Logistics policy, Allied doctrine and ACO directives and procedures as well as extensive operational experience in NATO logistic processes necessary to address end-user requirements.</li>
<li>Good knowledge of the NATO's Comprehensive Approach described in the Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive (COPD), deep understanding of NATO operations planning and related processes, information exchange requirements and interoperability standards to promote collaboration and information sharing using LOGFAS.</li>
<li>Experience with testing software using technologies and methods to support the full software lifecycle.</li>
<li>Proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team.</li>
</ul>
