This role plays a critical part in inspection, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to maintain compliance with AS9100 standards and customer specifications.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gauges, etc.)</li> <li>Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&amp;T, specifications, and work instructions</li> <li>Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements</li> <li>Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in quality systems</li> <li>Identify nonconformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA)</li> <li>Generate and process Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and participate in MRB (Material Review Board) activities</li> <li>Support internal audits and compliance efforts for AS9100 and customer requirements</li> <li>Assist manufacturing teams with process verification and quality improvement initiatives</li> <li>Verify compliance of materials, processes, and finished products to specifications</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering, production, and suppliers to resolve quality issues</li> <li>Ensure proper calibration and use of inspection equipment per standards</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What your background should look like</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in aerospace or regulated industries.</li> <li>Associate degree or technical certification preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of: <ul> <li>Blueprint reading</li> <li>GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing)</li> <li>Inspection techniques and tools</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience/knowledge with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001</li> <li>Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements (AS9102) or PPAP</li> <li>Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP/MES systems)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Certification such as: <ul> <li>ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT).</li> <li>ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and inspection software.</li> <li>Knowledge of root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).</li> <li>Experience in precision machining, composites, or aerospace assembly environments.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Competencies</b></H2> </div><div><div>Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork</div></div></div></div><p><strong>ABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY</strong></p> <p>TE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
