Job Description Summary

Overview
Wake Forest University’s School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Market Manager, Center for Analytics Impact. The Market Manager supports the Center for Analytics Impact (CAI) by developing and stewarding relationships with organizations that create opportunities for authentic analytics engagements among faculty, students, and partners.

Working collaboratively with the Executive Director and CAI contributors, the Market Manager helps identify potential organizational partnerships, maintain external relationships, and connect organizational needs with the Center’s capabilities. The role leverages professional experience, organizational knowledge, and relationship-building skills to strengthen CAI’s external relationships and support the development of its engagement ecosystem.

The initial focus of the Market Manager role will be relationship development, partner stewardship, and identification of opportunities aligned with CAI's mission. As the Center matures and additional resources become available, the scope of the role may evolve to support expanded relationship development and partnership activities.

This is a part-time position (10 hours/week) in the Triad area of North Carolina.

Job Description

About the Role

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with organizations aligned with CAI’s mission and engagement priorities.

  • Identify potential partnership opportunities and help connect organizational needs with appropriate Center resources.

  • Support communication, relationship continuity, and stewardship activities with organizational partners.

  • Provide insight regarding organizational needs, emerging opportunities, and external trends relevant to CAI’s development.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and CAI contributors to strengthen organizational engagement and partnership development.

Other Functions:

  • Support CAI events, partner interactions, and relationship-building activities.

  • Assist with maintaining organizational relationship information and engagement records.

  • Participate in Center activities that support external engagement and Analytics Impact.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a business setting is required.

  • Demonstrated professional experience developing and maintaining organizational relationships.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to engage effectively with organizational leaders, faculty, students, and institutional stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage relationship-focused responsibilities.

  • Ability to understand organizational needs and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Established professional network within business, nonprofit, government, or community organizations.

  • Experience working with higher education, analytics, consulting, experiential learning, or related fields.

  • Experience supporting strategic partnerships or organizational engagement initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for own work. 

Physical Requirements:

Work primarily involves sitting/standing; communicating with others to exchange information; repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; and assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Environmental Conditions:

Climate controlled, office setting.
