Job Description

The Master Data Specialist – Sales Focus is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all sales-related master data within SAP. This role supports smooth order processing, effective pricing management, and strong coordination between Sales, Customer Service, Planning, and the factories. The specialist will play a key role in reducing order errors, improving data governance, and supporting business efficiency across North America.

FCS Sales Administration Manager – Americas  

Key Responsibilities

Material Master Extension (Local Scope)

  • Perform local material extensions in SAP (sales views, distribution channels, plant setup) after factory-level extensions are completed.
  • Ensure all sales-related fields are correctly maintained to support order entry and availability checks.
  • Extend & Price local Part Number to BU upon their request

Pricing Creation & Maintenance

  • Create and manage pricing conditions in SAP
  • Ensure pricing accuracy across all customers and business units
  • Monitor validity dates and proactively update expiring pricing.

Order Processing Support

  • Monitor blocked or incomplete orders caused by incorrect or missing master data.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes to ensure timely order flow.
  • Provide support to Sales Admin when master data discrepancies arise.
  • Make sure intercompany orders are correctly transmitted (Idoc)

Coordination with Factories

  • Communicate with factory teams to validate and correct item master data such as:
    • Replenishment lead times
    • Manufacturing lead time policies
    • MOQ rules
    • MRP settings
    • Material availability settings
  • Track open data requests and ensure timely updates.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Perform routine data audits to maintain consistency between local and global master data.
  • Identify root causes of recurring data issues and propose continuous improvement actions.
  • Support implementation of global or regional data governance standards.
  • Participate in improving processes to support growth (continuous improvement based on daily identified issues)

Support for New Product Introductions

  • Coordinate SAP setup for newly released items.
  • Ensure all views are activated ahead of launch.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales Administration, Supply chain, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and IT.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on master data requirements and processes.

Reporting & KPIs

  • Track and report metrics related to master data accuracy, pricing setup, and order blocks.
  • Provide regular analytics to the Sales Administration Manager.

Documentation & Process Ownership

  • Maintain SOPs for material creation, pricing setup, and data maintenance.
  • Train new users when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in SAP (SD/MM module mandatory; any other module is a plus).
  • Experience in master data management, pricing, or order management.
  • Strong understanding of material master, customer master, and pricing condition structures.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot order blocks and SAP errors.
  • Strong communication skills for working with factories and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Work schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00-5pm (Duncan)
  • Hybrid Schedule Available (remote days based on department schedule)
