Materials Analyst
Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for a Materials Analyst with skills in critical thinking, organization, and management with an understanding of complex supply chains and inventory control systems.
This role reports to Inmet’s Materials Manager.
They are responsible for supporting production scheduling – press shop and assembly - optimizing supply chains, managing inventories; identifying ways to reduce costs while providing support to ensure safety, quality, productivity and delivery requirements that exceed customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and schedules on time production following established procedures
- Analyze and forecast material requirements based on production schedules and Inmet’s business needs
- Min/max inventory level review and provide suggestions for adjustment to align with company inventory level goals
- Excess and obsolete inventory analysis and suggested inventory usage strategy to minimize scrap inventory
- Conduct regular audits of material inventories to report on stock levels and discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to material management
- Collaborate with various departments, including production and finance, to align material needs with organizational goals
- Utilize software systems to track and manage material data effectively
- Identify and implement MRP process improvements
- Prepare detailed reports and analysis for senior management to aid in decision-making
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to material procurement and usage
- Participating in team problem solving activities and process improvement activities
- Prepare Physical inventory readiness (basement storage clean up against reserve item list)
- Works in a safe manner and always observe plant safety rules and regulations
- Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
- Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Supply Chain Management
- Any and all licenses and training relating to the following: : Lean Manufacturing, APICS, CPIM, & USMCA
- Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems: SAP experience is important in this role
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets related to materials properties and performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft’s suite of office software: Proven use of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- English communication skills required (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Salary range for this role is $65K-$75K
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:
