This position is responsible for leading Mission Critical Data Center engineering projects; overseeing project scope and schedule, performing mechanical HVAC engineering technical work on complex design projects, mentoring staff, applying proficiency in designing, analyzing, and reviewing Mechanical and Plumbing systems to ensure compliance with applicable clients and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.         #LI-SN1 What You Will Do as a Mechanical Engineer at Woolpert: <ul> <li>Design and support Mission Critical HVAC and mechanical systems for data centers, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled cooling systems, chilled water plants, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, and associated distribution systems.</li> <li>Experience utilizing CFD modeling software, such as 6Sigma, to model and analyze airflow distribution, thermal performance, cooling effectiveness, and evaluation of multiple design scenarios in air-cooled and liquid-cooled data center projects.</li> <li>Perform cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, airflow analysis, and mechanical system modeling to support high-density IT environments and critical infrastructure.</li> <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to evaluate and present HVAC system alternatives, redundancy strategies, and cooling solutions to clients and project stakeholders.</li> <li>Perform technical and QA/QC reviews to ensure the delivery of code-compliant, and high-quality engineering deliverables.</li> <li>Develop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of mechanical and plumbing engineering systems and components according to applicable standards and modeling techniques.</li> <li>Effectively communicate and present HVAC and plumbing design concepts, system alternatives, and engineering solutions during multidisciplinary design reviews and project coordination meetings.</li> <li>Motivate and inspire team members.</li> <li>Conduct training sessions for internal employees when necessary.</li> </ul> Personal & Professional Growth At Woolpert we place a high value on personal and professional growth, offering various opportunities for development within the engineering team: <ul> <li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Team members have access to continuous learning programs, including workshops, seminars, certifications, and participation in professional membership organizations.
