Mobile Engineer (Flutter)
Location: Remote (Europe-based preferred)

Position Overview
Newel Health is hiring a Mobile Engineer with Flutter expertise to build user-facing applications for our digital therapeutics and SaMDs. You will lead the development of highly responsive, intuitive, and accessible mobile apps on Android and iOS. Working alongside our UX designers and clinicians, you’ll help transform validated care pathways into seamless mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Flutter applications that interface with medical devices and backend services.
- Translate wireframes and UI/UX designs into high-quality code.
- Collaborate with backend, QA, and clinical teams to integrate real-world feedback into continuous feature development.
- Ensure mobile apps are secure, performant, and compliant with health regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release automation for mobile.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to guarantee application stability and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Flutter and mobile development (Dart).
- Familiarity with mobile accessibility, offline-first design, and patient-centered UX.
- Knowledge of native languages (Swift, Kotlin).
- Published apps on iOS and Android app stores is a plus.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API integration and asynchronous programming patterns, including error handling and retry strategies.
- Experience with development in compliance with IEC 62304 is a plus.
