Responsibilities
The NetSuite Business Analyst – Quality Assurance is responsible for owning and governing quality assurance (QA) activities related to NetSuite enhancements, configurations, customizations, and integrations. This role ensures that all changes to NetSuite are thoroughly tested, accurately validated, and delivered with high quality before deployment to production.
This position serves as the primary QA lead for the NetSuite platform and works closely with NetSuite Developers, the Senior NetSuite Business Analyst, and the NetSuite Application Support Analyst. The role is positioned between senior functional ownership and day to day application support, combining hands on testing with oversight, coordination, and process discipline across all NetSuite QA activities.
Quality Assurance Ownership & Governance
- Own the end-to-end QA testing process for all NetSuite enhancements, customizations, fixes, and integrations.
- Define, maintain, and enforce QA standards, testing methodologies, and best practices for NetSuite.
- Ensure all testing activities are completed accurately, completely, and within required timelines prior to production releases.
- Monitor QA progress across multiple initiatives and proactively identify risks, gaps, or delays.
Test Planning & Execution
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and test cases aligned to business requirements and technical designs.
- Perform hands on functional, regression, and integration testing within NetSuite.
- Validate end-to-end business processes across core financial modules (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test execution tracking, issue triage, and sign off readiness.
Defect Management & Validation
- Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects through resolution in collaboration with NetSuite Developers and Business Analysts.
- Validate fixes and retest impacted functionality to ensure issues are fully resolved.
- Ensure regression testing is performed to confirm no unintended impacts to existing functionality.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with NetSuite Developers to understand technical designs and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Partner with the Senior NetSuite Business Analyst to align testing activities with business requirements and process expectations.
- Assist and mentor the NetSuite Application Support Analyst in testing execution, issue validation, and QA best practices.
- Act as a QA resource on NetSuite projects, enhancements, and system upgrades.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain QA documentation including test plans, test results, release readiness checklists, and QA metrics.
- Identify recurring defects or process gaps and recommend improvements to design, development, or testing practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of NetSuite release management, QA processes, and system stability.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience supporting or analyzing NetSuite or another ERP system.
- Strong experience performing functional and integration testing within ERP or financial systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial system workflows.
- Experience working closely with developers and business stakeholders in a structured SDLC environment.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience testing NetSuite financial modules and customizations.
- Experience testing system integrations involving NetSuite.
- Familiarity with QA tools, defect tracking systems, or test management tools.
- Experience supporting UAT with accounting or finance teams.
- Exposure to NetSuite saved searches, workflows, and custom records.
- NetSuite and/or QA-related industry certification(s) are a plus.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working. Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
