The role
The Network Planning Analyst role will support the growth, expansion and profitability plans of 7-Eleven’s retail store network. The role will be responsible for:
- Assisting to develop the store network plan, identify and analyse new store opportunities, both fuel and non-fuel stores.
- The collation, development and maintenance of data used to support and investigate network planning opportunities.
- Undertaking market assessments for fuel and non-fuel store opportunities nationally.
- Creation, management and updating of templates and reports used for site evaluation and performance reporting purposes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail site selection (preferably convenience and/or fuel stores), market analysis, and spatial/location intelligence data within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
What you’ll be doing
Work closely with the Senior Network Planning Manager to:
- Develop the network plan for 7-Eleven to identify new store and expansion opportunities.
- Evaluate and prepare market assessments for fuel and non-fuel store opportunities.
- Support the Network Planning team across the 7-Eleven business.
- Utilise GIS / spatial data sets for network planning and site evaluation.
- Source, collate and manage of data sets used for market assessments and research purposes
- Collaborate with teams across the 7-Eleven business to provide strategic insights supporting store network growth and build robust project business cases.
What’s in your toolkit?
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in retail network planning (client side preferred)
- Proficiency in market analysis and data-driven decision-making, using best-in-class tools
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in Store Impact studies and Project Implementation Reviews (PIR)
- Exposure to GIS (MapInfo) used in retail analysis
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a high-performance environment
