Job Description:

  • Role title: Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation

  • Role type: Permanent full time

  • Role grade: Level 1/2 rotational

  • Department and location: Occupational Therapy, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst

  • Salary: $76,394 - $108,986 + Super + Salary Packaging

About the role

  • Provide integrated, patient-centred, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services across a diverse and complex range of patient conditions within SVHS inpatient rehabilitation services

  • Operate under direct supervision of a Senior Occupational Therapist.  The level of direct clinical supervision will depend on your clinical experience and the task

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team managing novel and complex cases such as NDIS

  • Participate in workplace education, quality improvement activities and relevant research

  • Assist in developing policies and procedures, and in supervising Occupational Therapy students

  • Depending on your caseload, work in other clinical areas to ensure hospital wide clinical demand is met

About you

  • Qualified and AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist

  • Clinical experience in sub-acute rehabilitation services or ability to apply a transferable skillset from other clinical experiences

  • Confident in applying clinical reasoning in a fast-paced, clinically complex, multidisciplinary environment

  • A natural communicator who builds strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues alike

  • Able to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Committed to continuous improvement and contributing to quality initiatives and evidence-based practice

  • Able to complete weekend work as part of a flexible working roster for a seven-day service
