As the Okta Identity Engineer, you will be part of a growing team to help support projects and serve as the subject matter expert, responsible for architecting, designing and implementing a variety of identity and access management solutions.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>*Candidates being considered for this role must currently reside in US Eastern Time*</strong></span></p> <h3><strong>What You Will Be Doing</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain Okta identity and access management solutions.</li> <li>Integrate Okta with various applications and systems to include cloud/SaaS to streamline authentication and authorization processes.</li> <li>Develop and configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions using Okta.</li> <li>Design and develop automation with various applications and systems using Okta Workflows and/or approved AI-powered tools.</li> <li>Perform regular system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.</li> <li>Continuously monitor identities, access rights, and usage patterns to proactively mitigate risks and enhance the organization’s security posture.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Okta configurations and integrations.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and implement identity management solutions that meet business needs.</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of IT experience, 3+ years of Okta experience</li> <li>Experience using Okta as an enterprise identity provider solution.</li> <li>Knowledge of Okta including features, integrations, and architecture.</li> <li>Understanding of authentication protocols, such as SAML 2.0 or OAuth/SSO.</li> <li>Experience with identity management, IDaaS , provisioning, user lifecycle operations, and federation.</li> <li>Experience implementing automated provisioning of end-point by using custom provisioning flows, SCIM or JIT capabilities.</li> <li>Experience configuring user authentication policies and application connections in Okta.</li> <li>Experience configuring and managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) factors for Okta users, including Okta Verify, FIDO tokens, One-Time Passcodes, and RSA tokens.</li> <li>Experience building automation using Okta Workflows, REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON payloads to construct calls for required tasks.</li> <li>Using Terraform for configuration management.</li> </ul> <h3>Bonus Points</h3> <ul> <li>Passion for improving and automating processes</li> <li>Efficient in using Terraform for infrastructure as code.</li> <li>Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with a positive approach</li> <li>Worked with multicultural and geographically distributed teams</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>#LI-JM5</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br>Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  <br></span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These ranges represent </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders.
