Job Overview:

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Americas Business FP&A team to own and shape financial support for the Industrials practices. This role will work at the intersection of finance, strategy, analytics, and business performance to support key decision-making that aligns with the firm’s strategy and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and present performance indicators to business and finance leaders

  • Partner with senior leaders to translate financial data into commercial action

  • Synthesize results to measure performance against annual goals and support practice forecasting

  • Drive forward core financial processes utilizing modern tools, including Tableau, ChatGPT and other LLM-based tools

  • Continuously enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy and reporting quality

Experience Required:

  • BA or BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a consulting, financial, or highly analytical role

Skills and Attributes:

  • Superior analytical skills, attention to detail, and well-organized

  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and P&L analysis

  • Intellectual curiosity to seek new challenges and develop creative solutions to problems

  • Sharp communication skills with the ability to advise stakeholders at all levels of the firm

  • Effective management of competing priorities in a fast-changing, dynamic work environment

Technical Skills:

  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Must be comfortable working with and manipulating large amounts of data in Excel using advanced formulas. Macro knowledge is a plus.

  • Strong PowerPoint skills to summarize and convey key findings

  • Previous experience using Tableau (or SQL, PowerBI, etc.) or a strong desire to develop these skills

  • Proficiency with GPT/LLM tools in financial analysis and automation is a plus

The applicable base salary range for this role is $89,000 to $115,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
