Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Segment Leader to oversee a GPQSS Segment Unit in North America focused on Data Centers. In this role, you will drive profitable growth by implementing and contributing to global and regional strategies while serving as the primary management focal point for the operating unit. You will oversee tendering activities, operations, project execution, site development, sales activities, budget management, and performance monitoring. The role is responsible for executing functional strategy and providing operational direction to support customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost optimization. You will address complex business and operational challenges requiring extensive investigation and evaluation while working with customers, teams, and executive stakeholders. Through oversight of business development, operational performance, and project delivery, you will support the advancement of power infrastructure solutions that contribute to power grid reliability and innovation.

- Oversee tendering activities and ensure appropriate organizational capability and staffing.
- Deliver operational and project targets that support customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Monitor performance against established targets and implement improvement actions.
- Develop and support teams while promoting continuous improvement.
- Expand the segment footprint by identifying new opportunities and leveraging installed base and market insights.
- Lead sales activities in alignment with HBU Marketing & Sales to achieve business results.
- Manage budgets and track key performance indicators to support profitability and operational performance.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Senior leadership experience with proven success in driving growth and meeting financial targets.
- Experience in the energy sector and familiarity with matrix organizations.
- Familiarity with Hitachi Energy’s products and systems is preferred.
- Team management, strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
