About the Opportunity
The Operational Pricing Analyst supports pricing and sales performance by analysing data and managing day-to-day pricing activities. This role ensures pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned to business goals.
Working closely with Sales, Finance, Portfolio Management, and the Parts & Services team, the role helps review, implement, and maintain effective pricing decisions across the business. It plays an important part in supporting sales outcomes, managing commercial risk, and driving sustainable performance.
Responsibilities
Maintain pricing in systems, including price lists, discounts, and customer pricing, and manage pricing enquiries.
Ensure pricing governance through accurate records, approvals, audit trails, and issue resolution to minimise risk.
Improve pricing processes, controls, and documentation.
Analyse sales data, market conditions, and competitor pricing to identify trends and performance drivers.
Deliver reporting and insights to support decision-making.
Segment customers and use analytics to forecast trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support pricing strategy by modelling scenarios, assessing impacts, and recommending improvements.
Assist with sales materials, reporting, presentations, tenders, and gap analysis.
Align pricing with promotional activities and provide guidance on pricing tools and processes.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Portfolio teams, acting as a key contact for pricing queries and gathering feedback to refine approaches.
Support business growth initiatives, contribute insights to planning, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure alignment with financial targets.
About you
You are an ideal candidate if you have at least 2-3 years’ experience in pricing, sales or supply chain analysis, market research, or a similar role. Experience within the mining industry is highly regarded. You have a strong understanding of market research methodologies and demonstrated experience in pricing management, including analysing sales data, monitoring market conditions, and conducting pricing simulations and scenario analysis. You’re confident working with data to generate clear, actionable insights and are proficient in tools such as Power BI and Excel. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you build effective relationships across teams, support sales processes through reporting and presentations, and confidently engage stakeholders. You’re organised, solutions-focused, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve pricing and sales effectiveness, with the ability to contribute to cross-functional initiatives and lead projects where needed.
