Team Overview

The ANZ Marketplace team owns the health of our ride-hailing marketplace across Australia and New Zealand — spanning trading efficiency, rider and driver experience, and risk & anti-fraud strategy. We work close to the business: diagnosing what's driving our core metrics, designing strategies from the ground up, and validating them in the real world. This role sits at the intersection of business and operations, with plenty of room to shape decisions that directly affect the experience of riders and drivers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our ride-hailing marketplace — identify problems, get to the root cause behind movements in core business metrics (trading efficiency, rider/driver experience, etc.), and deliver optimisation recommendations backed by sound business judgement
  • Break down business situations in rider experience and operations (cancellation fees, cleaning fees, routing & toll disputes, driver misconduct, etc.), turning vague business phenomena into clear, actionable problems
  • Use data (data pulling, metric monitoring, and experiment validation where needed) to support business decisions, judge whether strategies are effective, and drive iteration
  • Capture analytical conclusions and business methodology into the team's ops tracker / knowledge base, improving how efficiently the team understands the business
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Risk and other cross-functional teams to drive project delivery across the Beijing and ANZ time zones

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above; discipline open, with a quantitative background (statistics, mathematics, actuarial studies, computer science, economics, engineering etc.) preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations / business analysis / strategy (outstanding new or recent graduates will also be considered)
  • Strong business understanding and logical judgement — able to independently break down ambiguous requirements into a clear analytical framework and reach conclusions with real commercial sense
  • Strong learner, highly proactive, able to make progress even when information is incomplete
  • Good written and verbal communication in both English and Chinese, comfortable collaborating across cross-functional teams
