Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is a way of life? Then join our Oracle Business Support team and become the first line of support that keeps our payroll and finance services running smoothly, delighting users with responsive, high-quality service every day.

As an Oracle Business Support Analyst – Payroll, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for Oracle Fusion users, helping them untangle issues and get back on track quickly. You’ll own the logging and resolution of payroll queries, support release testing and new functionality, keep key data and HR hierarchies in good shape, and spot opportunities to improve how we work. It’s a great stepping stone role if you enjoy fast-paced environments, learning on the job, and making a visible difference to how a big organisation runs.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have RQF Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or can show you’re working at that level at assessment.
  • Are comfortable with data – you take pride in accurate input, checking details, and keeping things tidy.
  • Communicate clearly with different people, tailoring how you explain things so everyone “gets it”.
  • Can juggle a mixed workload, handle the odd tight deadline, and stay calm when it’s busy.
  • Care about good customer service and are confident using Microsoft 365 tools and modern devices as part of your day‑to‑day work.

A strong candidate for a First Line Support role should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring they can effectively assist users with technical issues. They should have a basic understanding of IT systems, troubleshooting techniques, and customer service principles. The ability to work under pressure, follow standard operating procedures, and escalate complex issues appropriately is essential. Strong attention to detail, patience, and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies will help them succeed in this role. Prior experience in customer support or technical assistance is advantageous but not always required.

Please download the job description and person specification for more information.

To apply for this role please follow the ‘Apply Now’ button above. When completing your CV and supporting letter be sure to address how you meet all the criteria in the person specification drawing on any relevant work/life experience, education or personal interests.

For guidance on how to write an application see our how to apply page and our statement on the use of AI. Candidates who meet certain criteria are given priority when we shortlist. See our priority status page for details.

Interviews will be carried out via Teams, the date will be confirmed after the shortlisting has taken place.

In this role you’ll be at the heart of our Oracle Fusion payroll service, building valuable system, testing and data skills in a supportive, fast-paced team. You’ll gain exposure to quarterly release cycles, Oracle Guided Learning content and real opportunities for professional development and progression, all while helping ensure our staff are paid accurately and on time.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page

If you thrive on the challenge and you are at your best when you’re busy, we are the place for you. The first line support role is the perfect stepping stone to building your knowledge and building confidence. We want you to be part of a succession plan, where you grow into roles, as the team grows, and in turn, we want you to lay a benchmark for the person who follows you into first line.
