People Systems, Data & Insights Analyst
Job Description
You'll be part of our Talent, Capability & HR Systems team, working alongside People Operations, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance and Technology to keep our people data reliable and our systems working for us, not against us.
You'll be given clear priorities and solution designs to work from, so you won't be starting from a blank page. Instead, you'll be building, testing and improving the reports, dashboards and automations that our people teams rely on every day.
You will be accountable for:
- Investigating and correcting data issues across our people systems, and helping build better checks so they don't happen again
- Building and maintaining workforce reports and dashboards that people teams actually use and trust
- Building workflow automations and system integrations, based on agreed designs, using tools like Microsoft Power Platform
- Mapping current processes to spot where things break down, and helping test and roll out improvements
- Supporting compliance and audit reporting with accurate, well-documented data
- Helping prepare and check workforce data when we welcome new businesses into the Group
This is a hands-on delivery role working within agreed priorities and solution designs, not a strategy or architecture one.
Qualifications
We're less interested in how many years are on your CV or what your qualification says, and more interested in aptitude: can you think logically about how data and processes connect, are you methodical when something doesn't add up, and do you genuinely enjoy learning new tools and systems?
You might be:
- Someone with a data, systems or business analysis background looking to specialise further
- Someone from an HR or People Operations background who's had hands-on exposure to systems or data — for example, involvement in an HRIS implementation or migration, building reports or dashboards, or owning a workaround that solved a recurring problem — even if it wasn't your core role
- Someone confident with Excel, Power BI, Power Platform or similar tools, or who's confident picking them up quickly
- Someone who's reconciled data, fixed a broken report, or automated a fiddly manual process, in any setting
Direct HR, payroll or recruitment experience is useful but not essential if your systems and data instincts are strong.
What We'd Love to See in Your Application
Because we're looking at aptitude as much as job titles, tell us specifically where that shows up for you. If your experience has been in HR, People Operations or another operational role, point us to the moments where you've touched data or systems, even in passing — the report you built, the process you automated, the project you supported behind the scenes. If you're earlier in this direction or coming at it from curiosity rather than a formal track record, tell us why data and systems genuinely interest you, and connect the dots for us: what from your background will transfer into this kind of work. We'd rather read two honest sentences about a real example than a generic cover letter.
Additional Information
This is a genuine opportunity to build deep, in-demand technical skills in people analytics and HR technology — real systems, real stakeholder problems, from day one. If you can't help but tidy up a messy spreadsheet, we'd love to hear from you.
Questions about your identity help us appreciate the diversity of individuals looking to work with us, ensuring we're attracting applications from people with identities and perspectives that are as diverse as our students.
We are an equal opportunity employer. As part of our commitment to equity, we work to ensure a fair and consistent interview process. We celebrate diversity and we are committed to an inclusive work environment.

We're looking for a People Systems, Data & Insights Analyst to help us keep our people data accurate, our reporting useful, and our systems running smoothly across Australia and New Zealand.
This role is genuinely open on background. We care far more about how you think than what your CV says. If you're naturally curious about how data, systems and processes fit together, and you get a kick out of untangling a messy spreadsheet or figuring out why a report doesn't add up, you could be a great fit — whether that's your whole career so far, or something you've picked up alongside other work.
