Physician Compensation & Finance Analyst
Position Summary
The Physician Compensation & Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, analysis, processing, and monitoring of provider compensation programs for employed physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This position collaborates with physician leadership, finance, payroll, operations, and human resources to ensure compensation plans are competitive, compliant, financially sustainable, and aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Functions
- Analyze physician and APP compensation arrangements including productivity, salary, shift-based, and incentive compensation models
- Process provider compensation payroll accurately and timely in coordination with payroll and finance departments
- Validate payroll calculations related to wRVUs, collections, call pay, shift pay, quality incentives, bonuses, and applicable modifiers
- Prepare recurring compensation reports, dashboards, variance analyses, and financial summaries
- Support Fair Market Value (FMV) reviews utilizing benchmark survey data including MGMA and AMGA
- Validate provider productivity metrics including wRVUs, collections, modifiers, and quality incentive measures
- Assist in development of financial pro formas related to provider recruitment, acquisitions, and service line expansion
- Collaborate with payroll and operational leaders to resolve compensation discrepancies and ensure accurate provider payments
- Assist with preparation of materials for executive leadership and compensation committee review
- Maintain compensation documentation, policies, procedures, and audit support materials
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies within provider compensation administration and payroll processing
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback considerations

Minimum Qualifications
**This position requires relocation to Tallahassee, Florida**
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare finance, physician compensation, provider payroll processing, provider operations, or related analytical role required
- Experience working with physician productivity and compensation methodologies preferred
- Experience with healthcare reimbursement and medical group operations preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Knowledge of payroll processing and provider compensation administration
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial and compensation data
- Knowledge of physician compensation structures and productivity metrics preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic, Workday, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar reporting systems preferred
- Knowledge of MGMA, AMGA, SullivanCotter, or other compensation benchmark surveys preferred
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
- Occasional travel for meetings or organizational initiatives may be required
