Job Overview
We are looking for a Platform Business Analyst to support and take ownership of internal platform-related developments, issues and improvements within a fast-moving digital business.
The role will focus on platform operations, internal processes, system improvements, reporting, and business support. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams, helping to understand problems, define requirements, coordinate solutions, and ensure issues are followed through properly.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, analytical, technically minded, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks from investigation through to delivery and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations, Issues, Process Improvement & Internal Support:

- Gather and document business requirements for internal platform changes.
- Support prioritisation of platform tasks based on business impact, urgency, and operational need.
- Work with internal teams to understand platform requirements, and translate business needs, operational problems, and improvement requests into clear development tickets.
- Support platform-related work across internal operations, reporting, system processes, and business workflows.
Analytics & Monitoring:

- Monitor key areas of platform health, especially around system performance, process completion, issue trends, and operational efficiency.
- Review data and reports to identify trends, recurring problems, or sudden changes in performance.
- Support reporting improvements by helping define requirements, validate data, and highlight gaps.
- Escalate concerns when system behaviour, platform performance, or reporting output appears incorrect.
- Prepare simple analysis and summaries to help internal teams with understanding issues and decision making.
- Support ongoing improvements by using data to highlight where the platform or processes can be improved.
Experience / Skills
- Level of Education: EQF Level 5 or the equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-moving, digital, technology, fintech, SaaS, e-commerce or online services business.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Looker, Power BI, Databricks or similar.
- Understanding of platform workflows, status flows, configuration changes, user journeys, system logic, or operational processes.
- Experience reviewing dashboards, reports, or system data to identify issues.
- Ability to analyse & investigate issues, ask probing questions, collaborate with relevant stakeholders and implement effective solutions
- Ability to write clear requirements, tickets, process notes, and stakeholder updates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills

- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Organised, reliable, and able to take ownership without constant follow-up.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Ability to work well with various members of staff from commercial to technical teams and be a team-player,
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Nice to Have
- Basic SQL or reporting knowledge.
- Previous experience working third-party integrations.

They do not need to be a developer, but they should be technically comfortable and able to understand system logic, platform behaviour, and data flows. They should also be confident enough to challenge unclear requirements, keep stakeholders updated, and make sure that issues and developments are properly closed.
This role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across departments, and being close to the operational side of a growing platform.
