PMO Analyst
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Change and Transformation team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
PMO Analyst
The PMO Analyst will play a crucial role in the coordination and administration of risk transformation initiatives within Mercer Super. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
The PMO Analyst role supports the efficient delivery of strategic programs, working in a large Risk Transformation HUB (the Program Management Office). The HUB consists of specialists who support all aspects of program and project delivery, including best practice standards and guidance, reporting and insights, monitoring and control, resource management, risk and issue management, and quality assurance.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract
We will count on you to:
- Assist in the coordination and administration of risk transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
- Work with project managers, and business Initiative Leads to report on and maintain key data for their initiatives within the Program HUB; including supporting leads to report on schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, and outputs. Ensuing reports are captured, on time, are accurate, clearly articulates path to green, and focuses on the areas aligned to the overall program reporting and governance strategy.
- Work with the HUB and Program Management Office (PMO) Manager to ensure cadence for reporting inputs and outputs are met.
- Maintain program documentation and support the management of the program SharePoint site.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of program activities
- Support the program in required admin tasks including onboarding co-ordination, distribution list management, access management, meeting co-ordination, etc.
- Provide support to Project Managers, Initiative Leads, Assurance and HUB on the capturing of milestone completion documentation.

What you need to have:
- Extensive Program Management Office (PMO) and Reporting experience
- Strong understanding of project management and program management methodologies
- Strong business focused stakeholder engagement as part of a wider project/program team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High proficiency in SharePoint,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Planner
- Analytical and problem solving
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including managers and executives, Subject Matter Experts and consultants
- Practical knowledge of project delivery lifecycles, methodologies, and governance practices, as well as experience with Project Portfolio Management tools
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences and build constructive relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to work effectively across the organisation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivation with initiative, energy and drive to succeed
