Portfolio Analyst
Overview
Join our dynamic emerging markets team as a Portfolio Analyst focused on equity portfolio trading, portfolio analytics, basic ESG and fundamental research. This full-time role offers deep exposure to investment research, portfolio construction, and client strategy within a single asset class and investment team. Analysts will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation for a long-term career in asset management.
We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities
- Assist Analysts and Portfolio Managers in fundamental research and maintenance of Emerging Markets securities for various strategies.
- Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions, seeking opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to discussions.
- Assist Portfolio Managers in trading Emerging Markets equities and monitoring daily cash flows.
- Monitor investment portfolios, helping to identify potential risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research analysts, portfolio managers, compliance, operations and traders, to support ESG and fundamental investment initiatives.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects, such as performance attribution analysis, risk management assessments, and scenario modeling.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related fields.
- Also appropriate for professionals with 1-2 years of equity research experience seeking to deepen coverage responsibility and expand impact within an active investment platform.
- Solid knowledge of AI tools for data search and fundamental research
- Strong interest in fundamental analysis, ESG integration and basic understanding of financial markets.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and basic investment principles and ESG investing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and financial modeling and relevant business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and manipulate financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team-oriented environment.
- Proactive mindset, showing initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
- Demonstrated interest or exposure to Emerging Markets, with relevant foreign language proficiency a plus

Compensation
Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
